So what if one of the computers is a laptop which occasionally goes on public W-Fi, like at Starbucks?

This does not Help me. Your using your ethernet cable. I'm using WiFi, why won't you just use both instead of only using one?

    Seriously

Sorry, not on topic but I can't find an answer anywhere. I have a laptop running Windows Vista. I know…no support. But it did something stupid….it dumped my browsers….all of them! Sometimes I used Firefox, sometimes Google. But now I can't open anything including Explorer. I keep getting a message akin to "XPCOM" not found. Any help???
